Long-awaited product certifications due from the WiMax Forum will soon see the light of day, a little bit later than expected, according to the industry organization. The group expects to announce the first certifications of WiMax products in mid-January at a conference in San Jose, California, said Mo Shakouri, board member and vice president of the WiMax Forum and chairman of its marketing working group. Testing may be completed by the end of the year or the early part of January, he said. The forum had been predicting the first stamps of approval would be handed out by the end of this year.
